Making Hard Water Soft
Hard water creates multiple maintenance & process problems in commercial applications. In manufacturing industries, scale deposits, created by hard water use, can be detrimental to the manufacturing process or have an effect even on the quality final product. Scale build-up also causes reduced efficiency of heaters and heat exchangers, boilers, sprayers, etc.
Envirogard’s commercial water softeners are designed to meet the demanding needs and specifications for all types of soft water applications.
Commercial water softeners are available from 30,000 grains to 1 million grains with up to 3” connections. These ion exchange systems come with fully automatic control valves that set off the regeneration process based on water usage or time.

For Uninterrupted Soft Water
When a softener’s exchange capacity gets exhausted, it needs periodic regeneration. During regeneration, the soft water supply is interrupted until the process is complete. In certain conditions, where continuous soft water supply is required, such an interruption time can mean loss of productivity or quality.
Envirogard’s Twin-Alternating Softening systems are designed to deliver continuous soft water even during regeneration.
They feature a twin mineral tank system governed by a meter-initiated control valve. In the twin-tank system, one tank is in service and the other in reserve. When the exchange capacity of the service tank gets exhausted, the control valve automatically switches over to the reserve tank. The exhausted tank is regenerated immediately and placed in reserve.
This twin-alternating system ensures a continuous supply of soft water without the risk of hard water getting in the service flow.
